Fall looks with Zara Canada

Fashion, Motherhood

The seasons are changing and so are these sweet babes…

At almost 3 years old, Ella hates mosquitoes, Santa and reminds me of this daily. She is a princess who loves dresses and loves to have her nails painted. She is still miss independent and is the leader of the 3.  She has an appetite like mommy and gets excited to go grocery shopping. She’s still a mommy’s girl, gives me an endless amount of hugs and kisses, wraps her arms around me to tell me she’s loves me, and I hope our special bond will stay this way forever.

At 18 months, Mia adores Ella and she’s the first person she asks for in the morning. She is the earliest talker out of my babies and has been putting words together since 16 months. I tell her to stop growing so fast and that she’s supposed to be my baby forever. Mia always has a sparkle in her eye, the longest lashes I’ve ever seen and will warm you with her smile. She’s also a mommy’s girl and if one of the others is taking up too much of my time she will try and push them away then sit on me. Lol

These two keep me on my toes, they make me laugh even when they are getting in to trouble and they make my heart melt every time I look at them. As the seasons change, as they grow… I’m so happy they have each other and I’m so lucky they are mine.

Tips from a Blogger

Motherhood

Morning and happy Sunday! 🙂

I put some of this info in my stories yesterday because I’m always getting questions from people who are interested in blogging or just starting their blogging adventure so I thought I’d create a blog post for you too. Easier to refer back to since those stories only last for 24hr. 😉

So typically how it works is that I will receive an offer from a company. If I agree/believe in the service or product then they would send me a contract outlining the promotion details. This would usually include me writing a blog post, doing instagram stories and a instagram post for x amount of dollars.

If I am the one reaching out, then I will ask for their PR contact and send that person my media kit. Media kits are almost always asked for and you can create one online using a template like the ones found here.

When you’re just starting out I think the best thing to do is create as much content as you can even if you are trading for product. Once you have some good content and blogs to add in to your media kit then you’ll be on your way to making some money! 🙂

Instagram has been the greatest tool in my success as a blogger and social media influencer. They both are necessary though in my opinion, to have a blog + an instagram feed. The companies that are paying me good money always want a blog post. Good clear photos do make a good first impression and for companies I almost always get a professional photographer for the shoot. Unless we are travelling for a blog, we do those on our own. The companies in my experience won’t cover the cost of your photographer but you can add that cost in to whatever you want to charge for the promotion. Also, some photographers are willing to collaborate. in the Photos you see above, I worked with Yellow Brick Road Photography on a project for Tempur Pedic and just made sure Tempur Pedic Canada tagged them in the photos.

I’m off to my Grandmas Birthday Party now but I will write some more tips soon!! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! 🙂

Our trip to Paris with Next Vacay

Motherhood

Since coming home from Paris, I’ve had several people say to me that they were worried I’d love Paris so much that I would never want to come home.  They were all spot on. I’m always excited to travel to somewhere new but I’m also always excited to get home. If I could uproot my little family and move there, I probably would.

Everything about Paris is amazing – the food, the art, the history! It’s all incredible!! I went to The Louvre Museum twice because I loved it so much and seeing The Mona Lisa… I still can’t believe it. The words “Are you sure it’s her? Are you sure?” came out of my mouth 5 times before my mom giggled and reassured me that it was. The Cathedral of Notre Dame, Versailles, Vimy Memorial… It was all fantastic.

In Paris, the men were dressed in their finest and most perfectly tailored suits. The women dressed in form fitted clothing, nothing too revealing and always classy. Couples would meet up for dinner with thier work bags in hand. Everyone embraces each other with kisses and warm greetings.

Most evenings we would end our night staring up at the Eiffel Tower. It’s amazing to see during the day, but even better when you see it at night!

For those of you who have messaged me that you are heading to Paris this fall, I’ve made a small list of must do’s and restaurants that I really enjoyed while there. If you have to pick only one restaurant to splurge, I would highly recommend Le Cinq. It was by far the most incredible lunch of my life. 🙂

Below are places you have to visit while in Paris:

  • The Louvre Museum
  • Cathedral of Notre Dame
  • Montmartre
  • Eiffel Tower
  • Vimy Memorial
  • Versailles

When you’re finished touring and exploring for the day, some restaurants that I would suggest going to are:

  • Monsieur Bleu
  • 58 Tour Eiffel
  • Cafe Marly
  • Le Cinq at The Four Seasons George V

This trip with my mother was something I will hold in my heart forever. Biggest thank you to my #partner Next Vacay this was a trip of a lifetime!
