I remember like it was yesterday, I was taking Owen to his first day of JK holding back tears as I said goodbye to him at the front doors to his new school. I cried all the way to my car and counted down the hours until I could pick him up that day. Owen is heading to grade 3 and although I’ll probably still be emotional as my baby boy is growing up, I will have my cute little curly haired blonde to lighten the mood. Leave it to her to make our back to school photos a little more lively!
Best wishes my sweet Owen on year 3!! You’re going to do GREAT! Love, your wild little family. X0x0

I first came across The Green Beaver Company at The Bump to Baby Show in Toronto. This wonderful family company had an array of natural products ranging from facial care to household cleaners that were created from natural ingredients and made right here in Canada. I went home with their makeup remover and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. Not too long after, The Green Beaver reached out to see if I would be interested in trying some additional products from their line and I’m thrilled to say for the past two weeks our family has been testing and LOVING their line.
The Green Beaver toothpaste is our family favourite. It is the first natural toothpaste that we have all liked and Owen has pretty much taken over both the Minty Fresh and the Green Apple so I’m going to have to order some more. The Green Beaver toothpastes are fluoride- free, which makes it perfect for really little ones like Ella who often swallows toothpaste. Once we started trying it, we had gone to visit Ricks parents and I had forgotten it at home. We had to use another brand while away and I can honestly say that I missed the feeling of clean I had with the natural toothpaste. Honestly, it’s really that good.
Another product I tested with the kiddos was the sunscreen. I absolutely love the feel of it – no greasy residue, the texture is so soft and light. It’s made with Zinc- Oxide and titanium dioxide and infused with Canadian grown raspberry extract. The product is also gluten free, 100% natural, biodegradable friendly. Most importantly, it works! I reapplied every 40 mins with the kids and everyone was perfectly protected.
For myself, I tried and tested additional products from their natural face care line. My skin is super sensitive so I’m always looking for gentler products that will not irritate my skin and what I found from using their aloe vera based moisturizer was that my skin appeared less puffy. It’s light in weight, soothing, and also great for those who have skin problems like eczema and psoriasis. Part of my nightly routine is also applying lip balm and their balms created by Canadian beeswax are fantastic!
I love supporting Canadian companies but most importantly, I love supporting companies that I’m proud to stand behind, I feel good about ingredients that are being used on our skin and that I’m promoting companies who try to be as green as possible. This company has it all. Thank you The Green Beaver Company – We love your products!
Tonight, my family and I went to Port Stanley to take photos for part of my anniversary gift from Rick. In all honestly, I searched for different gift ideas but when it came down to it, the most important thing to me is my family. My kids are growing so fast, I want to capture every moment that I can. We got dressed up and went down to the beach where Rick proposed to me. As the sun set, we took some photos and went off to get some ice cream. It was perfect. 🙂
