For the last couple of months, we have been using our Valco Baby Snap Ultra Duo double stroller with the girls. It has a sleek style (my hubby calls it the Cadillac of all strollers ) and it makes my life so much easier when leaving the house with my girls.
I wanted to make sure that I was giving Momma’s-to-be the most honest review. I’ve tested the stroller through different weather, pushed it in and out of shops and set up different seating positions with both girls. I am happy to say, it has worked like a dream!
The Valco Baby Snap Ultra Duo has special boot covers that are perfect for cold or rainy days. Now that’s it is nice out, I still use the boot cover with Mia when I recline her seat. It turns the seat in to a little bassinet and she sleeps perfectly in it while we are out and about.
One thing that was important to me when I was looking for a double stroller was that the stroller wasn’t too heavy or bulky. I wanted a stroller that folded up easily because the last thing I wanted to be doing was fiddling around with a stroller while managing two babies. I’m happy to say its passed that test! I can easily put the stroller into our SUV by myself with no issues.
Lastly, I wanted to make sure that the stroller would fit through different door sizes. As you can see in the photos above, we aren’t missing out on any coffee dates! Thank goodness for that because with two babies, momma needs that extra coffee! 😉
If you’re in the market for a stroller for two, I absolutely recommend a Valco Baby Snap Ultra Duo stroller. If you’re not having two and still want a well built stroller with great style, the good news is Valco Baby has great options for both! Check out their single and double strollers on their website. This is a purchase you will not regret!
These photos were taken the same week that Mia was born. I remember them clearly because I was trying so hard to make every moment count with Ella when I wasn’t feeding Mia. Barely being able to keep my eyes open, I took out the makeup I had received from Caryl Baker and we had a little makeup and dress up time together.
Ella had a lot of fun since most of the time ( all of the time before this particular time ) 😉 touching mommas makeup was a no-no. She even helped me apply blush and thought that was the best thing ever! I didn’t apply anything to her beautiful skin but I did take out my moisturizer and put that on here tiny nose and she thought that was just as fun.
One of the many things that I love about Caryl Baker products is that they are always on trend! Right before they sent me these colour to try a fashion stylist and makeup artist were just raving about the colours that I am wearing.

I have always been an over-sharer, especially when it comes to sharing photos of my friends and family. I love capturing our moments and memories together. When I became a mom, this only increased my over-sharing. From the bottom of my heart, my husband and my children are my everything. I am so proud of them, I love showing them off, and I am their number one fan.
This being said, I think these photos and video created by Yellow Brick Road Photography is the most appropriate blog to post on Mother’s Day.
Going back to the day that these photos were taken, Ashley Bradley, the women behind the lens of Yellow Brick Road Photography, completely blew me away with how amazing she was with my children. Mia was only two weeks old, my house was a complete disaster and my kids were more wild than normal. I invited her in to our home and showed her to our master bedroom where we were going to be taking the photos. I had to apologize because the cover was still not on our duvet, the bed had not been made, I was still trying to get the kids ready and Mia was crying. She didn’t have to, but she immediately started helping me in any way that she could. She gave me a hand in making my bed, rounded up the children, and calmed me down while I fed Mia. Not too many photographers would have done that. She won us all over.
The photoshoot went far better than I could have imagined -even getting some amazing shots of my husband while he rushed home quickly from work to take a few photos with us. Before she left, she let the children pick out a treat from the toy box she brought with her and left a little treat of goodies for me to enjoy myself.
A couple sneak peaks and a week later, Ashley set up a Skype date with us to go over our gallery and to present to us a video that she had created of our special moments together.
Looking at all of these photos of my children and video captured, I couldn’t hold back the tears. I kept saying “my children are so beautiful”. To me, they are the most beautiful humans on the planet.
Our photoshoot with Ashley will be an experience that I’ll never forget. The memories we have from it, I will cherish and over-share for the rest of my life.
Thank you again, Ashley!
Happy Mother’s Day! 🙂
Everyone has their favourite mattress. We love a particular size, style and feel. But what happens when the mattress of your dreams has to be shared with your partner, kids, pets, and nothing feels quite the same anymore?? Finding a mattress to fit your growing family can definitely be a challenge so I’m thrilled that we have tried, tested and fallen in love with the Impulse mattress from Tempur-Pedic.
I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about changing from a pillow top mattress that I had used ever since I had moved away from home but with a growing family we not only needed a more spacious mattress, we needed a mattress that suited both my husband Rick and I.
On the hunt for our new mattress, I had my mother come up to watch the kids one evening while Rick and I had a “date night” trying out a few different styles of mattresses at Leons and The Bay. Instead of wining and dining we were quickly falling asleep on each mattress (truly the life a married couple. lol) As we laid on each mattress, we were educated on how Tempur-Pedic mattresses are made to adapt to your unique shape, weight and temperature. We decided on the Impulse and started to get excited for a better nights rest.
Once our mattress arrived, I remembered to keep in mind what the employee said, to give ourselves a good 30 days to get used to the feel of our new mattress but with only one night on our Tempur-Pedic I had one of the best sleeps I had had in a long time. I didn’t feel the usual tossing and turning of my husband, I didn’t even notice his snoring! It was honestly one of the first mornings that I can remember that I woke up feeling well-rested.
Since getting our Tempur-Pedic Mattress our family has grown from 4 to 5 and although I may not be getting my full nights rest with a newborn at home, those moments in between feedings and naps on our Tempur-Pedic Impulse allows me to quickly drift off to sleep.
